Refunds & cancellations

1. Credit packs
Credit packs are non-consumable: the credits land in your account the moment Razorpay confirms the payment. If you change your mind, we'll refund unused credits when you ask within 30 days of purchase, processed back to the original payment method via Razorpay. Used credits aren't refundable — once an AI bullet rewrite, cover letter, or application email is generated, the work is done and the credit is spent.
2. Pro subscription
Pro renews monthly. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing — the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro features (premium templates, 500 monthly credits) until then. We don't pro-rate refunds for partially-used billing periods.
If Pro was charged in error (duplicate charge, accidental renewal within 48 hours, etc.), email us within 7 days of the charge and we'll refund the full amount.
3. How to request a refund
- Email hello@craftmyresume.org with the subject “Refund request”.
- Include the Razorpay payment ID (visible in your purchase email, or under Settings → Credits).
- Tell us briefly what you'd like refunded (full unused balance, specific pack, accidental Pro renewal, etc.).
We aim to acknowledge within 1 business day and complete the refund within 5–7 business days, subject to Razorpay's processing timelines and your bank.
4. Exceptions
- Credits that have been spent.
- Purchases older than 30 days (credit packs) or 7 days (Pro duplicate-charge claims), unless required by applicable consumer-protection law.
- Accounts that violated our Terms of Service (abuse, fraud, chargeback rings).
5. Chargebacks
If you raise a chargeback with your card issuer instead of contacting us, we'll suspend your account while the dispute is adjudicated. Email is faster for both of us.
6. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other applicable Indian law. If you're shopping from outside India, your local consumer-protection law also applies in addition to this policy.
